About YHA Glenn Heights.
Our goal for YHA Glenn Heights is to be a fully credentialed TC3 Tier 2 Residential Treatment Center in Texas in 2025. We are dedicated to providing specialized care for male youth exhibiting sexual aggressive behavior. We offer a safe, structured environment that focuses on therapeutic intervention, behavior modification, and skill development to address underlying issues and support rehabilitation, helping these individuals build a foundation for healthier, more positive interactions in the future.
YHA Program
Youth Health Associates (YHA) provides a structured, staff-secure residential treatment program designed to serve moderate- to high-risk adolescent males aged 12 to 18 who exhibit sexually maladaptive behaviors. YHA utilizes a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Care, and Sexual Offense-Specific Treatment to address sexually maladaptive behaviors, social skill deficits, emotional instability, and other co-occurring mental health concerns.
Key components of the program include:
-
Individual & Group Therapy:
Each resident participates in a minimum of two 60-minute individual sessions, and two 90-minute group sessions weekly, focusing on topics such as healthy relationships, empathy building, and relapse prevention.
-
Psychiatric and Medication Management:
Residents meet with a psychiatrist monthly or as needed to manage psychotropic medications and address mental health symptoms.
-
Family Therapy:
Family sessions are conducted weekly when appropriate to strengthen family engagement, address systemic concerns, and reinforce family safety planning.
-
Psycho-Social-Rehabilitative Services (PRS) Groups:
Residents attend PRS groups twice daily for 60 minutes each, which emphasize social skills, conflict resolution, and behavior management strategies.
-
Core Correctional Practices:
Staff utilize behavioral reinforcement strategies 24/7 to encourage prosocial behaviors and promote accountability.
-
Academic Programming:
Residents receive structured academic services through an accredited self-contained classroom to ensure educational stability during treatment.
